On April 13, 2023, we hosted the Move, Eat, Meet & BINGO! event, which included a movement workshop, dinner, and bingo. The event was designed to promote creativity, awareness, reflection, and community building among participants. The event started with a movement workshop led by Hooi-Ying and Urvee, followed by a dinner catered by WdkaHaven, and ended with a fun and engaging “OurWdKA Bingo” event led by WdkaSpin and inspired by Cultural Workers Unite.

Movement Workshop: 4PM to 5PM
Hooi-Ying and Urvee from WdKA dance led a movement workshop focused on helping participants feel more connected to their bodies, exploring their movements, and extending their creativity through playful individual and partner exercises. The workshop took place in an open area, BL.01.i, where participants engaged in various exercises designed to increase self-awareness and foster a deeper connection with their bodies.

Dinner 5.30PM to 6.45PM
After the movement workshop, participants enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by WdkaHaven. While enjoying the food, participants reflected on the movement workshop and shared their experiences with one another. It was a great opportunity for participants to discuss what they had learned, how they felt moving their bodies, and what it meant to them.

BINGO 7PM to 9PM
OurWdKA Bingo was held in the real classroom: THE PUB, de Willem. Members of Cultural Workers Unite joined in to help run the Bingo, as it was an adaptation of their Exploitation Bingo game, with a switch of focus towards student life. Participants enjoyed learning about different people's experiences with the university and connecting with others through shared experiences. Prizes for the bingo were bracelets with different bingo words on them, which participants loved.

In conclusion, Move, Eat, Meet & BINGO! was a resounding success, providing an enjoyable and supportive environment for participants to connect with their bodies, reflect on their experiences, and build a sense of community with others. Through the movement workshop, dinner, and bingo events, participants were able to learn more about themselves and others, reflect on their experiences, and engage in fun and engaging activities. The event was a product of an exciting collaboration of student initiatives. It was engaging, and enjoyable for all participants and organizers, making it a memorable and rewarding experience.
