Just this past winter, we welcomed our community once again to our friend Michelle's garden to find refuge from the cold, creating a collective space for mourning.

There is a lot to grieve, especially in the past months, so we invited friends to join us in the garden for a Winter Grief Gathering. We first turned inwards by creating space to write our sorrows, then outwards and downwards through a burial of our writings and kitchen scraps, pouring an elixir made from summertime flowers into the soil and a listening circle. We ended the evening with songs and hot tamales around the fire.
